These are a few of my "LEAST" favorite things...

Do you have a least favorite job around the house? I have 3...probably more , but I cannot think of them right now! ...and all three needed to be done at the same time today. It stunk!

I dread laundry day (or days)...folding I am okay with. It is the putting away part!

It was my major grocery shopping day - hit 3 stores and still forgot some of the things at the top of the list -

I hate putting groceries away!

(yes you see lots of junk food in the grocery bags - I am headed out of town for the weekend and so I stock up on good yummy food for the babysitters!)

I am now the "mom who only buys WHEAT stuff!" YUCK!

Needless to say, they love when I go out of town...chips, sugar cereal, oreos...

And the dishwasher...I can load and unload with the best of 'em...but putting them away...forget about it!

Special Days!

Jax received the most important gift of all this year as he turned 12. He was able to be ordained to the priesthood office of a Deacon by his dad! He was surrounded by men that love him and that honor their priesthood. I am grateful to Greg's family (and my mom) for being there and helping to make this day one to remember!

Parties...with GIRLS!!!

Jax had a little party between his basketball practice and his firs deacon's basketball game. We had his buddies over for pizza and ice cream! He wanted a few girls to come...He is going to be a ladies man we can already tell. He has good friends and we are grateful for their good choices and good example to Jax.

His hard work - he gets up early every Saturday to do grandma and grandpa's yard. (I'm sure the $ helps!

Christmas 2009

Arnetts, Arnetts, and more Arnetts...We had a great Christmas this year with Greg's family.

12 days for G & G, cousins parties, adult white elephant party, Christmas Eve dinner, talent show, Christmas Morning breakfast, Christmas Day Dutch oven Dinner, suns games, New Years Eve at Pinetop, stomach flu...and so on!

Are you smarter that a 5th grader????

After spending 2 Saturdays at the FLL tournament...Greg and I once again have realized that our kids are passing us by with their smarts!

Annie, along with a group of girls from her ELP class, developed a robot out of Lego's and competed it with other groups around the district! The theme this year was "Transportation" so the girls picked Cyber bullying as there focus! How does Cyber bullying have to do with transportation? It is transported by technology...who knew this was even an option, but the judges were very impressed with their research, report and presentation. They took first place out of 40 teams! The robot competion was the most fun! They have a track set up and you race your robot with the other teams robots. They have to complete tasks and obstacles for points! We had the most enthusiasm of all the teams and even had made up chants to cheer on "Sherlock Holmes." (That was the robots name) They have the best teacher...Mr Vonburg. He was having as much fun as the girls!

We went on to compete at the State Tournament held at ASU. We were by far the youngest team and soon realized what a big deal this is to some when we saw the sponsored teams. The girls had so much fun and what a great experience it was to have them present in front of judges, answer questions and compete against other kids.

SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE!!!

Ashlynn has been a fan of the show since it started...and we all enjoy watching the auditions! I know some of the people show up as a bet cause seriously now, there are some pretty awful dancers that show up. Anyhow...Ashlynn and I had the chance to have lunch with some of the top 10 when they were in town on tour. (honestly, I had to get on the computer to look them up) RANDI is a cousin to one of our neighbors, and they knew how much Ashlynn loved the show, so they invited us to their home for lunch on the day of the show! We had tickets to the show and for us, we thought that was great. Then the call came for the lunch invite and it all got that much better!

Ashlynn was in heaven and got to visit and take photos with the dancers! I took them a bit to get the guts to walk up to them...so funny that now these ordinary people have that instant celebrity status!
