Our Little Winter Wonderland...

Jax cannot wait another minute for me to post this picture of him "getting air" on the snowmobile! Okay...a few pictures! We spent our spring break at "the cabin." It is in Island Park - about 1 hour north of BYU Idaho and 20 miles west of West Yellowstone! Yes, very cold and yes, 15 hours away! But so worth it and the kids BEGto go! I will write more about our vacation soon...but for now, you will see what a great time we had by the photos.

Welcome to the Arnett Spa!

So the day finally arrived. The "SPA PARTY! " Annie has been so excited for her party! For 3 years now she has been planning this year's party. Ash had the same party when she turned 10 and Annie could not wait for her turn!

We started with a taste test game! 16 kinds of Jelly Bellies! Our guests had to taste each one and guess the flavor. The favorites were bubble gum or root beer and the least favorites were licorice and buttered popcorn.

Each of our guests were given and appointment card. The evening would consist of facials, manicures, a smoothie bar and making headwraps. We had so much fun. A few pictures capture some of the great moments of the night!

The night would not be complete without IceCream cake, presents and with 15 minutes left to spare, we pulled out Charades! What a fun night...now it is Callie's turn. (in another 3 years!)

First 11 year old campout!

We officially have a boy scout! He looked so sharp in full uniform. Tonight Jackson went on his first campout with the troop. There was lots of excitement and a little nervousness...not sure if it was more mom or Jax! You see, Jax likes his mom and does not get too far from me too often! Hope he does okay! Hope I do okay! I am already ready for noon tomorrow! Dad was pretty excited that he got to go along! The scout leader was going out of town and since Greg clearly does not get enough camping in (HA HA!)...he gladly volunteered! (Greg camps once a month with his troop) He loves it!

Training for the Fun Run!

It is time again for the Hermosa Vista Fun Run! This will be our 2nd year. A few moms started it last year for a fundraiser for our school. It was awesome! Everyone had a great time. The fliers went out last week for this years run. Callie and her friend Annie decided they wanted to start training today...A girl after my own heart! This is them as they were ready to take off around the block. Complete with ipods, water belt w/ bottles, and smiles! I love it!

Annie turns 10...

...and all she wanted this year was a music stand for her violin, a shoulder rest for her violin, a PINK ripstick, and some new converse. How easy is she? And she wanted to shop for them all with me! I took her out of school for a few hours on her birthday and we went shopping! We had so much fun. One of her favorite things at the mall is Wetzel's Pretzels! That was the first thing we got...some wetzel stix. Then we shopped, had lunch, and stopped by Krispy Kreme for donuts to take back to the class. We had birthday dinner the night before so Ashlynn could join us. Her restaurant choice was BJ's. We love it as a family! On her birthday night we had a BB game for Jackson then went to ColdStone Creamery for a treat! (So much for my diet...It is so hard with kids!)

boys on bikes...

My boy is so easy! All he needs is a bike and some dirt! Thankfully, we live next to a dirt lot. He is always digging, building jumps or riding his bike. I never have to go far to find him! It has become quite the gathering place after school. Today, I bet there were 20 boys from ages 5-121 It was awesome. I am going to be so sad when someone builds there. (I think we are safe for a while while the market is how it is!) Here are a few pictures...

Mesa 30th boys reunion

I have only heard stories about growing up in the "30th" ward. I had to see this to believe it! What an awesome night!We had 67 people at our home last weekend for a reunion. Roc was the bishop and Nelson was the priest quorum advisor. Nelson was the leader that no boy forgets. Nelson moved away some time ago and was coming back to Mesa for a visit! Roc had the idea to gather as many of the boys that were in the YM program with Nelson to get together. They tracked down information on just about everyone and had a great turn out! So many of the leaders cam as well! They laughed, cried and reminisced about so many thing that they did as quorums. Us wives were wondering why were invited but I was happy to be there and to be a part of it! There were guys that flew in from AK and Utah. Many drove a ways to be here. It was a great night and one that will not be forgotten and will be added to the great memories of Nelson!
