What is a Rube Goldberg Machine???

That was my question when Annie came home with her latest ELP project...Well here is the answer:

A Rube Goldberg machine is a deliberately over engineered machine that performs a very simple task in a very complex fashion, usually including a chain reaction.

And so we started the brainstorming process...it had to have 3 steps, start with a mousetrap and end by popping a balloon! I was SUPER impressed with her thought process as she talked herself through each step of what and how it should happen...Here is the final result! WAY TO GO ANNIE...and dad too! He helped withe the logistics!

Jax and dad go to Conference with grandpa!

It is the long awaited birthday for the grandsons turning 12! Grandpa takes them and their dad to Salt Lake for Conference. They have fun seeing the sights and then get to go to the Priesthood session of conference! Jax had a great time! Thanks Grandpa!

UTAH Spring Break

AZ is the place for Utah Spring breakers...we had a 6 month old, 5 month old, 3 - 2 yr olds, 2 - 4 year olds, 5 - 6 year olds, 8 year old, 11 year old, 14 year old and the parents...yes we were crazy but I would be so sad if any told me they would rather stay at a hotel! We had fun as you can see...Ash let me know that we have a crazy family...Yes we do but I love it! What did we do for a week??? We swam, celebrated a birthday, easter egg hunts, swimming - even thought it was freezing, ear candles, korean masks, story time with grandma, bike rides, went to the park, decorated easter eggs, ate yummy food, movies, and so much more! Oceanside 1/2 IRONMAN

I did it...again! There were a few things that did not go as planned such as dropping my entire nutrition bottle the 1st mile into my 56 mile ride, high winds, not bike computer and so on. Despite the mind games that start when I have to change my plans, I had a great day! PR by 2 minutes and overall very happy with the end result! I love being there knowing there are friends on the course and accomplishing something that is not easy...I love RACE DAY but am always glad to have the training over with!

Spring Break

Here are a few photos to show how much fun we had...We fit a lot in in a short amount of time. The cabin, snowmobiling, pizza at Wild West, Skiing at Brighton, fun with cousins, dinner at Lake's cousins, movies, card games, dominoes, eating, and lots of driving.
