Go Toros!

It is the annual Toro Cheer Camp! Annie and Callie look forward to this and can't wait to cheer at an actual football game! The bleachers are full of parents, siblings, grandparents and friends. No one ever has an idea of what is happening in the game while the little girls are cheering! Callie could not have smiled bigger - we could tell she had been told, Smile Big! And Annie had a great time with her cousins doing the toro sign, high kicks, and cheers! Thanks for a fun night! Go Toros!

Callie's note!

I went in to tuck Callie in the night she lost her first tooth. As I was leaving her room, I saw this note taped to the wall. It reads "My toth is not there." I asked her what it was for. She said that she is so used to her tooth being there, she keeps thinking it is there and trying to wiggle it with her tongue so this is note to remind her that it is gone...I laughed! These are the moments that make being a mom so worth it!

Where's Dad and Callie?

I left to go do a carpool. I could not find Callie and dad when I got home...Here is where I found them!

They were out in the yard - in the dark - fixing the sprinklers! She loves to work with her dad.

Yes she is in her swimsuit...Yes it is the 23rd of October...and yes she went swimming today!

***When we moved here I heard from everyone...It is only really hot about 3 months! Ya Right!!!!!

"This is the LIFE"

Jax said to me, "Mom, this is the life." I was busy fixing dinner so I was not sure what he was doing when he said this. I looked up. He was laying on the couch (which was in the kitchen because we just had the carpets cleaned) eating peanut butter on a spatula! He said again when I looked at him..."Mom, what could be better? Eating peanut butter on the couch. This is the life!" Man it does not take much with him! I love that kid...

Lake Powell Triathlon

It was another race weekend for me! I had taken some time off since Santa Barbara in August. My sister, Jonni called me and asked if I wanted to meet her in Lake Powell for a tri...Of Course! It is Lake Powell. You do not have to ask me twice!

I went into the race not as well trained as I should have been...especially for the swim. (my worst of the three events as is) I knew it was a tri that a lot of newcomers would be at so I had a chance of not being last! That is my only goal going into my races! Maybe I should set my goals a bit higher...

I talked a friend from AZ into going with me. It would be her first event. She did awesome! I was so glad she had a great experience and I think she is convinced now that they are fun and she will be back for more. (I promise - only try it once and you will be hooked!)

This race could have been a bit more organized. It is the 2nd year so it can only get better from here!

Last minute, Jonni was going to have to drive my herself so my older sister Jeni decided to ride with her! It was so fun having her...We tried to get some sleep, but what is better that a night in a hotel with sisters?

I ended up taking 1st in my age group and 5th overall for the woman sprint...I was pretty excited!

FALL BREAK

It is not like us at all to not hit the road when we have a day off school...but thanks to our piano teacher for scheduling Ashlynn's piano recital that Friday night. I was so bummed to think we had to stay here. We tried to make it fun for the kids...

We had a movie marathon on Friday. The kids were dying to see
"Beverly Hills Chihuahua" and "City of Ember."
Instead of making them choose, we decided to see both and have lunch in between!

Saturday we invited a few families to go on a hike. We have never hiked to the "A" at ASU! We had a great time!
Greg's favorite part was the lunch on the way home...In-n-Out!
