Merry Christmas everyone! Mom had to wake the family up at 7...they could sleep til 10 but we were having breakfast at Grandmas at 8:30 so we wanted to got our gifts opened. The anticipation is killing the kids as they line up at the bottom of the stairs to go up youngest to oldest! They all know exactly where to go because they have place their stockings where they want Santa to leave their gifts. It is a mad dash...Santa does not wrap at our house so they can see it all immediately. They are not sure what they see first. Their eyes are trying to catch it all. Finally, they can settle in on one thing and then the next...
Favorites of this year are:
Ashlynn - Ugg boots, Hair straightener and vans
Jackson - silky underarmor shirts, Ipod nano, BB cards
Annie - Violin, white board and markers, squishy pillow
Callie - picture book of me, light blue DS, white board markers
Dad - new race wheels and tires - yes, I broke the rule of "let's not get eachother anything"
Mom - new video camera and treats!
We spent the day with family eating and visiting. It was so wierd (and I am not sure we will do it again) to not pack up in the afternoon and head to the cabin. It just did not work out this year...We all missed it and can't wait to get there SOON!
